Winter Adventures near Casa dei Sogni: Top Activities to Embrace the Season

We love this villa in summer, but winter here is just as special. The house becomes cosy, the pace slows down, and the region offers a whole new side to explore. Here are some of our favourite winter activities close to Casa Dei Sogni.

Christmas Markets

During December, many of the nearby towns come alive with small Christmas markets. Mogliano, Macerata and Tolentino often have stalls with local food, crafts and decorations. It’s a nice way to spend an afternoon, grab a warm drink and pick up something handmade from the region.

Hiking in the Sibillini Mountains

The Sibillini Mountains are beautiful in every season, and winter has its own charm. On clear days, you can enjoy crisp air, quiet trails and amazing views. There are walks for all levels — from easy paths around the foothills to longer hikes for those who want more of a challenge. Just make sure to check the weather before heading out.

Skiing and Snow Activities

If you enjoy skiing or want to try something new, the nearest ski areas are only about an hour away. Bolognola is the closest and ideal for a simple day trip. It’s perfect if you like smaller slopes, fewer crowds and a relaxed atmosphere. Even if you don’t ski, it’s still worth going up for the snow and the scenery.

Cosy Evenings

After a day out exploring, winter is the perfect time to come back to the villa, cook a warm meal and relax. The colder months make Casa Dei Sogni feel extra peaceful, and it’s a lovely season to experience a quieter side of Le Marche. All our favourite restaurants and towns stay open as usual in winter, so you can enjoy the region just like you would in summer.
